2024/25 LEADER BOARDS

WHAT IS THE INTERCLUB SERIES?

The TWA Interclub Competition is divided into three regions across WA: North, South, and Regional. Clubs will accumulate points based on their membership numbers through their members’ participation and performance at events listed on the Interclub Series Calendar. Club membership numbers will remain consistent throughout the season, based on the numbers recorded the day before the first interclub event.

These events will include metro and regional races strategically chosen for their location and popularity among our membership. Clubs affiliated with Triathlon WA will accumulate participation and performance points, which will be tallied at the conclusion of each race, with the online leader board updated accordingly. Clubs in WA will compete for the title of “Conference Club Champion” within their respective regions

POINT SCORING

A club’s membership number is calculated as the number of members who will be aged 12 years or older on 31 December 2024 (Age calculation date as per AusTriathlon rules), as at COB 5 December 2024 (Thursday before first Interclub race). Points are allocated for participation and performance in the primary distance of each event.

Participation Points:
If the percentage of a club’s membership is not a whole number, the required participant amount is rounded to the nearest whole number. To ensure fairness, smaller clubs with less than 20 members will be measured for participation points as if they were a club of 20 members.

DOUBLE UP

The Triathlon WA State Interclub Championships and the Busselton Festival of Triathlon will be the Double Up events where the total points allocated to clubs will be doubled for these races only. For example, if the club has 10% club members race and finish, they will receive 6 points for the club. The double points are applied to both Performance and Participation points.

MAX OUT

Clubs can earn a maximum of 25 points at each event excluding Double Up events where a club can earn a maximum of 50 points.

PRIZES

At the conclusion of the series, the Conference Champions (the club with the highest point score from each conference) will each be awarded $250 in prize money, or an equivalent voucher provided by Triathlon WA.

The Overall Champion Club will be determined by the club with the most points overall from the series and will also be awarded $250 in prize money, or an equivalent voucher provided by Triathlon WA.
