Triathlon WA is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Nisbet as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Sarah joins us from WestCycle, WA’s cycling advocacy body. WestCycle’s work representing and supporting cyclists through education, programs and community events closely aligns with WA Triathlon’s focus on participation, clubs and inclusive sport experiences. Sarah brings leadership and governance experience from across the Western Australian sporting sector, leading teams through change, managing budgets and government-funded programs, and supporting effective governance through risk management and Board reporting.
Sarah is also a triathlete, bringing her own experience of the commitment, challenges and rewards of participating in triathlon.
“I am incredibly honoured and excited to be joining Triathlon Western Australia as Chief Executive Officer. I’ve been part of the triathlon community for the past seven years and I continue to be inspired daily by the passion and dedication of the people who make it so special.
It is a really exciting time for WA Triathlon as we have an opportunity to continue building on the fantastic work being delivered by the team, while working with the community to shape our strategic direction for 2027 and beyond.”
Sarah Nisbet, incoming Chief Executive Officer
Sarah will commence with WA Triathlon on 23 November 2026. We look forward to introducing Sarah to our members, clubs, partners and stakeholders, and to working together through the season ahead.
