Triathlon WA is pleased to announce that Mel Farley has been appointed in the role of Executive Director.
Mel brings over 20 years of event and operational experience from a diverse range of industries including State Government, not for profit, and membership-based organisations. She previously held the role of Triathlon WA Executive Officer from 2002 – 2005.
With a passion for seeing the sport of triathlon thrive, and experience working in our office team this season as the Commercial Operations Manager, Mel will continue driving strong strategic, financial, and community outcomes. We are confident that her passion, drive and experience will continue to deliver great growth for our sport.
We also wish to thank and farewell our outgoing Executive Director, Olivia Birkett. Olivia led the team for the first half of this season and implemented strong governance and financial management practices that will be her legacy here at Triathlon WA. We wish Olivia the very best in her new role as CEO of Tennis West.
