SunSmart School Visits
Triathlon WA and SunSmart WA have teamed up to help spread the messages of healthy living, physical activity and sun safety to WA schools.
A SunSmart school visit can take many forms and we endeavour to be flexible to meet your school's needs. Whether you'd prefer a school assembly, a one-off or a series of clinics, or something else, we are happy to work with you to make sure your students have a great time, try some new skills, and learn about the importance of healthy living.
SunSmart school visits are usually facilitated by Triathlon Australia Accredited Coaches, so you can be sure your students are in the best hands.

Before each term starts, schools can apply for funding through the Sporting Schools program to have Triathlon WA run a series of clinics at their school. We have two different programs on offer - Explore and Learn.
Both programs run for 4 weeks and can be delivered by a Triathlon Australia Accredited Coach. The 60 minute sessions can be run before, during or after school. Schools can also elect to leave out one of the three disciplines if they prefer. For example, a school might not wish to cover swimming with the students, so a modified duathlon program can be delivered.
Aimed at students aged 7-9 years the Explore Program provides students with early exposure to a variety of movement experiences. The focus is on the early learning, execution and acquisition of basic movement foundations relating to motor skills through informal play, practice and games via both Triathlon and non-Triathlon activities and environments.
Aimed at students aged 10-12 the Learn Program encourages students to advance and refine Explore phase movement skills through broad exposure to formal and informal play, practice and games. The program includes both Triathlon and non-Triathlon activities and environments.
Triathlon Australia's partnership with Sporting Schools allows us to introduce the sports of triathlon and multisport to hundreds of children across the country each year. The program also allows us to connect our Triathlon WA affiliated clubs with local schools, giving students the opportunity to continue their triathlon journey under the guidance of experienced and accredited coaches and club members.
