This weekend, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April, will see Dunsborough play host to Australia’s largest off-road triathlon, X-Adventure Dunsborough held by Rapid Ascent. This event doubles as the WA State Cross Tri Championships and ITU World Qualifier event.

Over 1500 Triathletes from WA and beyond will be treated to gorgeous scenery as they race in and around the pristine Geographe Bay coastline. 2021’s event marks a triumphant return to racing after the 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19.

The weekend features 5 off-road events including the Long Course X-Adventure, a Short Course X-Adventure, Kids X-Adventure, Groms X-Adventure and even an Aquathlon!

The premier Long Course race includes 34 kilometers of action with a 1500m ocean swim, 12km trail run, and 20km mountain bike ride.

The field features an array of talented Triathletes including previous WA X-adventure winner Brendan Dimmer (Mandurah Tri Club).

The women’s field will be headlined by excellent athletes Katherine Ryan (Stadium Tri Club), Brooke McCoy (Fremantle Tri Club), and Emma Moon (Phoenix Tri Club).
The 45-49 men will be the age group to watch, with some fierce competition expected between Bart Hollemans (Oceanic Tri Club), Paul Waymouth (North Coast Tri Club) and Craig Appleby (Stadium Tri Club).

It will be a jam-packed weekend of quality racing mixed with a good dose of fun in a superb location south-west of Perth.

The X-Adventure Dunsborough starts from 10.30am on Saturday 10 April at the Old Dunsborough Boat Ramp.
