Triathlon WA is excited to announce the confirmation of the 2020 State Long Course Championships for our Open Athletes. The event will take place at the SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon on Saturday 17 October 2020.

The State Long Course Championships is rich in history, dating back to 1983 where it took place in Midland and was won by Stuart Gee & Sue Turner. The Busselton Festival of Triathlon has hosted the State Long Course Championships since its inception in 2002.

This year the Open field will see the best WA athletes take on the 1.9km swim, 90km bike and 21.1km run for the chance to be crowned State Long Course Champion. Past Olympians, World Champions and up and coming professionals will hit the start line for what is tipped to be an exciting battle of our local stars.

Age group athletes that are taking part in SunSmart IRONMAN 70.3 Busselton will also have the opportunity to be crowned State Champion, with the first three TWA Members in each age group taking the podium.
