It is with great excitement that Triathlon WA acknowledges and welcomes the new Executive Director, Brendan Cullinan. Brendan comes to Triathlon WA with over 15 years’ experience as a sport manager and consultant, currently working at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (formerly Department of Sport and Recreation) and previously as Chief Executive Officer with the WA Amateur Football League.
Triathlon WA President Justine Bolton said Mr Cullinan’s appointment followed an extensive recruitment process which considered an extremely large field of candidates.
‘The Board is delighted that Mr Cullinan has agreed to lead Triathlon WA with a focus on membership strategies and continuing to deliver an exceptional Busselton Festival of Triathlon to our members’, Ms Bolton said. ‘Mr Cullinan brings to the role a wealth of experience from strategies to increase participation and membership to developing strategic partnerships.’
“I’m excited by the opportunity to join Triathlon WA and support our clubs to provide quality programs and events for our members and encourage more people to participate in this exciting sport,” Mr Cullinan said. “I’m also looking forward to working with our clubs and partners to continue to provide a great experience for all participants in the prestigious SunSmart Busselton Festival of Triathlon.”
Mr Cullinan will formally start in his role on Wednesday 17 October 2018. Until then all correspondence can be directed to Acting Executive Director Georgina Westgarth.
