Firstly congratulations to all who participated in the recent IRONMAN event at Busselton. The event always provides great personal stories and all who competed should be congratulated on their fantastic achievement. Special recognition to the North Coast Tri Club for receiving the priority racking award for having the most number of Club participants.

I encourage all who participated and enjoyed the event and all Club Members to get on board and support the Triathlon WA SunSmart IRONMAN 70.3 in May 2019 and make this event the best ever.

There have been some recent changes on the TWA Board. Steve Norton has been appointed as a Board Member for a two-year period. Steve provides extensive triathlon knowledge and experience in the technical and coaching area and will be a welcome addition back to the Board.  On a sad note we bid farewell to Rob Suriano. Rob will be moving overseas for 12 months and has submitted his resignation from the Board. We wish Rob and his family best wishes for their overseas adventure and look forward to his return.

There are a number of exciting events coming up and I encourage all Members and Clubs to support these events especially the Club Event Series with the next event on 13 January 2019 with the Oceanic Olympic Distance event.

The TWA office will be closed from end of business Friday 21 December re-opening on Wednesday 2 January 2019.

On behalf of the TWA Board and staff, I wish all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you at events in 2019.
