Join fellow Triathlon WA accredited and affiliated coaches for a Q&A session with academics from three different Western Australian universities. With differing areas of research and expertise, the panellists will be able to answer questions of a vast range of topics.
This session is open to ALL Triathlon WA coaches, from Foundation accreditation through to Performance accreditation.
Light refreshments will be provided.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The evening will commence with a brief presentation from each specialist on their preferred area, followed by the Q&A session. The specialist presenters and their area of research and expertise are as follows:
Grant Landers
University of Western Australia - School of Human Sciences (Exercise and Sport Science).
The racing athlete physiological adaptation to environmental stress.
Wouter Timmerman
Edith Cowan University - PhD student/former international junior triathlete and coach of the Belgian elite junior team.
Training load and athlete monitoring strategies and testing.
James Debenham
Master of Manual Therapy (University of Western Australia)/BSc (Hons) (King's College London)/Edith Cowan University - Lecturer in Physiotherapy and PhD student.
